Ja so what is your process now for learning ....say ....a one minute solo , or a one verse solo ....
I have been using Riffstation and Audacity either or ...which allow me to isolate certain passages and licks ...and then put them in a loop and play them over and over till i get a
close approximation ... Audacity and Riffstation also allow for key changes ....Riffstation is free for a month or so ...an Audacity is free ...Riff is actually a guitar based app but i use it for keys ...

And I keep thinking about all those times prior to the Internet... years ago trying to learn solos. Putting the album on, listening, picking up the tone arm, playing what I could remember, putting the tone arm back, etc. etc., then trying to play along with the solo. Then taking what I had figured out and playing it ungodly loud with the band in front of a couple hundred people and hoping they thought my organ part sounded like the album :)
