Coincidentally (or, sadly?), Keith played onstage with Spinal Tap at Wembley a few years back.

Regarding his physical condition, Keith had ulnar nerve surgery on his right hand back in the 90's that was either botched or just ineffective. It has left him with very unresponsive ring and pinky fingers. In subsequent videos you can often see them curled uselessly into his palm when he's not willing them to respond. Yes, amazing that he can still play at all. Aside from this, my real beef with the band was that they essentially blew their collective loads with the brilliant Brain Salad Surgery, now 39 years ago. Anything that followed, at best, began to show their mortality, and soon deteriorated into a band who didn't know that it was over.
