Subject:Re: Miking an A-100 into Leslie sim
It'll sound like a clone with the internal sim on going into a leslie sim, in other words a double leslie (minus the movement on the first leslie of course). Even worse, when you consider at least a leslie has a horn for the highs, the a-100 just has two big speakers. SO you're gonna roll the highs off even more than a leslie would, then you're going to roll them off again, using the leslie sim's amp simulation. I thought there was a way to skip the power amp entirely and come right off the AO28? Would probably just involve a switch and a way to quiet the amp in the a-100. THat link for the spinet thing that someone posted is good, Just stay away from the leslie output on the thing, that could get you in trouble if you don't know what you're doing! Maybe go over to hammondzone, they could help you out, Chris over there is real good and real helpful.
