I'll leave certain bias on my side about Casio
Furthermore think that a Casio bare MIDI would cost less than doing 'a la DIY" a sustain pedal modding for the Korg Microkey 61 or just build to order by a qualified tech (and loosing warranty)

Have to agree - show me a better - or even comparable -
bargain. I've always had a Casio board of some sort or another around
the house for the last 30-odd years, ever since that first little white
board that ran on batteries. Loved that thing, had maybe two great
sounds. There's always usable sounds to be found or created - on any
board, for that matter. I happen to think these new Casio boards are a
case of great hardware/potential in need of better programming/ sound
design at the development stage. Casio has always seemed oddly confused
about what people want.
