Subject:No variety anymore?
I've been thinking about selling a bunch of stuff and getting a more up to date clone, thinning the herd so to speak. I was going to save one hammond (I have four right now), dumping all my clones (old CX-3, new CX3, crumar T1) and going for either the mojo or nord. But I'm thinking I really like all the differences between these old clones, they all sound so different. And by the same token, each of my hammonds sound very different. Then I think about my CD collection, and how different say McGriff's hammond sounds from Groove's. I'm wondering if as clones all get so close, if we'll lose that variety and everybody's "hammond" is going to sound the same down the road. I know5 guys can sound totally different on the same organ, but there are differences in the organs themselves. Anybody elsethink about stuff like this, or do I think too much?
