"Stairway" is not a Pianet but a comparatively rare Hohner Electra-Piano (not to be confused with the solid-state RMI ElectraPiano, which is an entirely different animal). The Hohner Electra-Piano looks like an upright piano but is actually a variation of the Fender Rhodes design, using a hammer action to hit metal reeds which are coupled to sustain bars. There is a sustain pedal and a soft pedal, and a set of loudspeakers in the base.

This instrument was used on several Zep tracks around the same time, but was rarely if ever used on stage, a Fender Rhodes being used instead. Towards the end of the 1970s a portable model was produced, but was not a commercial success.

Did anyone mention Stairway to Heaven yet? I never knew before, but it says so on the wiki page the pianet was used on this recording if you want to believe it. In the mid '70 the bass player let me use his and for some reason, when we played it, STH always sounded right with it but at the time I thought it was just a happy accident. Who knew? Not me :)
