I own a SV 1 and love it, the acoustic pianos are good, the vintage keys are good and the front panel is old school easy to use>Haven't even hooked up a laptop to it yet to ubertweak
I wish there were more patches available for it, but the price has dropped and it is a good value. I like the piano action and am only disappointed there were no 88 versions in the country when I was in a buying mood.

Subject: [CWSG] Anybody have any experience with a Korg sv1?
I am looking to upgrade my piano rig. I am currently using a studiologic controller with a Kurzweil Micropiano and Motif rack. I just played a Nord electro 3 HP and as much as I like the unit, I want to keep my Korg CX3. Consequently, I have no need to spend money on an organ. I did however, really like the electric and acoustic pianos on the Nord. Seems like the Korg SV1 would be the natural choice, but there are none to be played where I live. I am concerned about the acoustic piano samples on the Korg...I've heard the Kronos and it has excellent acoustic pianos, but the korg M50 acoustics are a little weak. Any opinions out there would be greatly appreciated.....
Steve
