Subject:Modelled v Sampled Pianos

I have been replicating my PC VST setup in Mainstage with the goal of using wherever possible the Mainstage/Logic VST's (with the exception of VB3).

For piano in Mainstage I selected the Yamaha Grand piano in EXS24 which is a sampled piano. I found that there seemed a significant difference in volume between notes (G minor chord 1st position above middle C). The Bb sounded a lot louder than the root G note.

I loaded Piano 1 (the VST I use on the PC) a modelled Yamaha upright into Mainstage and found that each of the the notes were roughly equal in volume when the Gm chord was played (as had been the case on the PC).

I read recently that sampled pianos often use the one sample for adjacent notes and this can lead to inconsistent volume between notes.

Has anyone else found this volume difference with sampled pianos.??
