Dave -

Glad to see you've got power. Looking out of my living room window I see
nothing - just black, as if I were deep in a forest someplace; this is beyond
shocking, as I usually see thousands of lights in as many windows. A
couple hours ago I thought I'd go out, just to kind of "bear witness" - the only
lights around are from the housing development I'm in. Across my street,
it's completely dark and herein lies the worst of it: there are thousands of
apartments from my street west, no doubt filled with thousands of
terrified residents wondering what the hell will happen next. The only traffic, for
hours now, has been emergency vehicles, cops, and a lot of ambulances,
seemingly patrolling. And, since as soon as I walked out a police car edged
by, I figured I'd seen enough.

I hope the power comes on for everyone, and right soon, and that we're all
safe from here on out.

PA. The founder of this list, Bruce Wahler, is in New Jersey.Bobby Simmons
and Joey Gennosa are on Long Island. I am in North Potomac, MD, just
outside DC. Actually I am truely shocked I have power. Sunday evening I thought I
would have lost power by Monday morning. There are many, many, more East
Coasters of the USA on this list. I am really lucky to be responding.
