Subject:Re: Expression pedal for Numa organ

I have used both the Roland EV-5 and the Yamaha FC-7 with no issues with
the Numa.

Fortunately , a second hand music store traded me an FC-7 straight across
for an EV-5. The EV-5 's often develop problems. On the other hand the
Yamaha has a long throw much like a Hammond pedal and is built like a tank.

For 50 dollars new the FC-7 is well worth the money.

By the way, regarding the B preset on the Numa..... it isn't really a
preset, but rather it is the position that controls the live drawbars.

I admit, the Numa presets are quirky. They seem to control only the upper
part of a split, and do not remember leslie settings. Basically for me they
just remember the drawbar settings but they do remember percussion settings
also.

I don't use them much because if I accidentally hit a preset while playing,
it changes everything. I don't use Hammond presets that much either
though.
