Yep, the guys are correct. It's got tubes alright, but you can get 'em
all day long for $0 - $100. Here's a funny / cool story...
I was driving down the street one day and saw an organ someone had
dragged to the curb for trash pick up. I first spotted the drawbars,
then the Hammond logo.
"Screeech!" I stopped, backed up, got out and found it was an L-112 in
nice condition. Knocked on the door...no answer. I'd just seen the
trash truck picking up one block over so I got on the cell phone and
called a friend for some help. Amazingly, he was in his car driving and
was just about a mile down the road. When he arrived we loaded the organ
onto my truck, hauled it back to my place and plugged it in. To my great
delight it was in perfect working condition! To my wife's not-so-great
delight it was the third Hammond taking up space in our small apartment.
I had just picked up two M3's a few week earlier, one for $20. and
another for $80.
I cleaned them all up and sold the L-112 for $250. One M3 for $200. and
donated the other M3 to a local music school for kids.
I'm currently scouting the trash bins for another M3! LOL
