I'm using the IK Igrand on my Ipad. I use the Line 6 midi mobilizer which is essentially the same thing as the Irig.
You can get great sounding acoustic pianos from IK for the Ipad. As far as I know there are no decent B3 emulations as yet for the Ipad.
I have Sample Tank but haven't gotten around to trying to integrate the Igrand into that. I'm not sure that will work. The EPs in Sample Tank are Ok but not as good as the Nord EPs.
There are very good Mac apps for EPs etc. but it looks like we'll all have to wait for the EP Ipad apps.
The way technology is now going I'd look for IK to get something like that out pretty soon.

Subject: [CWSG] iRig MIDI with Sample Tank

Hi all,

I was wondering if any of you out there in CloneWheel land has used an IRig connector with a Mac Touch device in a live setting. One of my old Roland boards might be on it's last legs so I am considering different options to replace it. I already have a midi-controller so I thought if bought a Mac Touch and then purchased the I-Rig with a free version of Sample Tank that it might make for a portable and fairly cost effective second keyboard when I go out to play live. I have Mainstage, Garageband and VB3 on my Mac, burt I also use the Mac for work, so I would rather take out a different set-up for stage purposes and only use the Mac for recording sessions ant rehearsals where I can always monitor where my Mac is. Any feedback would be much appreciated.
