I owned an SD2 several years ago for about a year. My primary purpose was to use it with a CX3 I had at the time for piano sounds. As I recall there were some OK orchestral sounds and some of the e piano sounds in particular were good. The problem I found was in configuring the sounds through the interface. I think there were limited controls to access to the midi parameters through the SD2 or at least it was rather confusing. I even purchased an outboard midi mapping unit to use with it which didn't help me much. I'm not a big midi guy so maybe if you really have a grasp of how all the midi parameters work you may not have the same problem. Anyway, I sold it and moved on.
