Subject:Re: KB Mag Clonewheel roundup

Actually i wrote I'm quite OK with how the C/V works now (exactly like on a "real" Hammond), it's the percussion state that can't be changed while I'm using a preset. Again, I'm not searching for some exotic feature, like others may want to do or like I'm doing in other areas, I'd just like it to work exactly like a real Hammond does (that is: the ability to turn off percussion so when I switch back to the manual preset it doesn't sound or do the opposite, always without affecting the sound of the preset I'm playing with).

I'm okay with Mojo's working only with the manual drawbars on the swell manual, but still think it would be really cool if we could save all setting states in our presets, including rotary and c/v, as well as percussion, and that such things would respond to changes while working within that preset.

I'm running version 2.1 and the c/v behaves exactly like my B-3 ... in other words, if it's switched on on the upper manual and off on the lower, it stays on on the upper and off on the lower, no matter which preset I select. Does yours act differently?

But this, I fear, steps out of the clone-realm by offering functionality not found on the 20-some instruments Mojo emulates. But, then again, the instruments it emulates have two more sets of drawbars and weigh 350#, which are features Mojo doesn't have, so I suppose this pendulum could swing both ways.

NOT applying it to the preset, just changing the state and see the new state applied when you go back to the manual preset, just like you can do on real hammonds, hamichords, keybs and probably nords. Right now when you switch to a preset the percussion button is disabled completely.

You can't adjust drawbars on a real Hammond and change those preset sounds on the fly (you'd probably need motorized "flying-fader" style drawbars to do this right), so I do not know why this would be considered a negative on a clone.
