Subject:Re: OT Procol Harum rehearsal closer view - Morning Dew (2001)

Rewatched the clip after years…What a band!

It's not the look that matters, it's the sound…;)
Nice catch about the bench, didn't notice it's not an original B3 one...Your hammond was stolen? How so? Same happened to Fisher's M100 in the '70s (in a way it was stolen two times!)!
Anyway the one we see here is not Matthew's: after the loss of his M100 he only bought an hammond (the splendid C3 you can see on the Union Chapel DVD) in 2002 to record the Well's on Fire…Sadly he had to sell it as well a few years later.
The B3 in the video it's likey to be Brooker's, along with the spinet (can't get a clear view to identify the model) behind MaF.

It was an ash '58 and was stolen in '79 or '80 by the crack-head son of an old blues guitar legend I worked with at the time. I'd give just about anything to have that axe back! Sometimes, the more beat up they are, the better they sound. Those coffee cup/beer bottle rings on the top? Think of 'em as love bites...
