thanks Dennis........no chips in stock but an option for sure......had a tech in Toronto quote me before looking at it.........not the way it works in my world, but i figure upper is minor contact issue for 4 ft., lower a chip likely...............buyer beware

so a couple $100 to fix, not bad to have a 2 manual clone, no techs around here, only one i know not up to it, top works except 4 ft. percussion, just how I bought it but i hoped it was something simple (my old Poly6 had a wonky ribbon cable) and am busy with turning a 51 LESLIE into a 251 (2 speed mod etc.)
Back burner or sell if can.
Anyone tried the Roland VR 700?

CHances are the chips are gone. There was a design fault with these chips, they are available in a completely redesigned format that won't fail now, but a little pricey. I redid one a while ago, I think it was a bit more than 2 bills. If anyone has an old analog be aware it's going to fail, it's not a question if if, but when. I have an old cx at the moment that I keep thinking about selling, but then I fire it up through a leslie and decide to keep it. They had a cool sound. The cool thing is these are analog, so it's an analog signal flow, if you're handy with electronics it shouldn't be real difficult to switch that accessory jack to somewhere more useful. If I'm remembering correctly, it was post leslie sim. Of course the sim is so bad, it'd be a good move to run the pedal synth setup into the accessory jack, volume pedal the whole output and run it into a vent or leslie.
