Roland PK5 or PK 5a are easy to use, out there cheap and awesome, very simple midi or i wouldn't use them and great features like octave which fattens the bass.
And.....they have poly mode and octave shift..............................amazing

I'm curious, but how would it be easier to hook up "vintage" analog bass pedals to the BX3 which has no inputs for them than simply plugging a set of midi pedals into the BX3's midi input?

Thanks, I was thinking more in terms of analog pedals because I don't have and don't want to frig with midi. The only ones I find are the Moog Taurus $2K, and vintage ones that are hard to find...
