Subject:Re: OT Mixers and outputs
You can have it all.
Run your IEMs with the CR output.
Run you QSC with your Main outs. If your QSC has 2 inputs, use both so you get both sides, no Y necessary that way. If you want to try a Y instead of running 2 cables to the QSC, that should work but when you do, it's good to have a small (100 to 1K ohm) summing resistors in series with each output.
Send the Aux 1 and 2 to FOH. The sound guy (or gal?) gets a separate feed for each instrument like you said. Simple.
If you ARE using the Auxes for effects etc, you can send FOH the Alt 3-4 outputs. You need to wire Ys so you can split the instrument signals to 2 input channels each. For the mono nord for example, Y to channel 1 and 2. Select "main buss" for channel 1 and Alt 3-4 buss for Channel 2 and pan hard left for send to FOH.
For the stereo signal, (2 Ys needed here) would go to, one stereo channel say, 7-8 and two mono channels, say, 3 and 4. Assign the stereo 7-8 to Main and Mono 3 and 4 to Alt (buss 3-4) and pan both hard right for send to FOH.
Cheers,
Rock
