Subject:Re: CHEAT SHEETS, Music STands and BIG TIME ROCK STARS !
I try to memorize as much as possible, which I think has improved my playing. What I do is put the chords I can't remember, usually the ones just for a bridge or complex chorus, under the problem song on the band's setlist with about 18 pt Font in a different color, which is usually done on a Word document. I cut off the excess paper after printing it out which gives me about a 4x7" sheet for each set that I simply tape to the top of my Clonewheel before each set. We also put the key before each song on the setlist as well. With most songs, after awhile I can remember even the problem areas and delete those when no longer needed but be warned- you should practice off that sheet before the show so you don't get lost. I have a small under cabinet directional stick on light I use for darker situations. I could use an Ipad for this as well but feel more comfortable using 30 cents worth of paper and ink and a 7$ light than a 350 $ Ipad for this.....Ain't
technology wonderful?
