Bobby    I agree ..There was a time when i would have embraced your beliefs on this subject

I know when i was playing nightly ....If i did need a cheat sheet it was not for long on my C3 w / Clav on top ..

Without a doubt the more one plays the songs the better the retention level is ....That's what repetition does .....

But that time for me is gone ...as age and less playing  is just what it is ...and I sense

there are quite a few players here on this forum in the same boat as me ....That do not play 8- 10 SHOWS   a month ..
maybe we play one or two gigs a month or less ...

And the folks at the home dont give a darn ...if i have a music stand or not ....

My initial comments were simply an honest FYI of what works best for me ...and could possibly work for

another player that wants to use a music stand ...

as always ...IMHO
