Subject:Re: Installing H.O.A.X.-3 card into a WLM organ
The WLM Hit was a somewhat-portable 70s clonewheel, with two offset 49-note keyboards and a toastrack pedalboard. Made in Sweden, IIRC. The cabinetry was very simple and effective, made of plywood with metal L-section corners, so that the manuals and electronic tone generators folded into the box that served as support for the manuals in its open position. Mine's currently closed with my CX-3 and Rhodes sitting on top of it, so I can't check, but I think both manuals had 9 drawbars. Sound quality wasn't as good as current clones, but it was decently effective on a gig, and even though it was heavy, it was a sight lighter than a real Hammond.
