Subject:Re: Console VS Clone footprint

I think i can agree with the foot print of most clones being close to equal that of a Hammond organ

WO/pedals ...the pedals do extend the footprint a bit ...

then of course

I can not count all the times I had to play my C-3 w 122 on the floor next to the stage ..
because there was not enuff room on the stage ..hopefully the stage is not so tall as

I cannot see the all the other players ...Then i realize i am closer to the WOMEN !!!
Then do not forget,

the Hammond becomes a beer table for every beer drinker that is also a dancing

beer drinker. oh yes an don't forget the fools that love to use the edge of

the Hammond ..for an ashtray ...So me the player of the Hammond has to be player and protector of my axe...as I have to reach up and take the beer off my Beast and sweep the lit cigs on the floor ..immed to prevent burning the finish ...
I am sure we all have plenty of stories of Hammonds vs People ...

An oh yes ....What is that spinning thing behind you ???

Mike

Subject: [CWSG] Console VS Clone footprint

Hi Fox,

I would tend to agree with your logic but I recently ran into a few situations where the few inches between a console and a clone made a difference. Some stages have permanent drum risers so large as to leave very little space on the front of the stage remaining but not room enough to set up on the riser with the drummer. The actual footprint of an X stand is much smaller than a console so it can be squeezed into tighter spaces.

Cheers,
Rock
