Thanks guys, This a full PA with powered mixer, 2 mains and 2 monitors, so I have a lot of options. The 3 meter/yard spacing seems a good place to start and keeping the mains behind the bands PA makes sense. When I do my one-man band thing I could either go mono with the two stage monitors near me and the 2 mains out front, or stereo with the just the two mains to either side behind me. I would think with one keyboard mainly digital piano and the other just digital organ with a Vent, stereo would sound better to the audience? At least I would pretty much hear what they are hearing. I also use stereo custom backing tracks thru my Ipod going into a mixer channel and of course a mic for the vocals.

One thing that I have noticed with Leslie sims is that you should have at least 3 meters spacing between the speakers.
This reduces the phase cancelation effects you get from simulation.
I tried having the speaker real close and facing outwards 90 deg - did not sound good. Pulling them apart did sound really good.
