Subject:CX3 connectors needing to be re-seated

well, last saturday, I get to my gig, turn on the CX3v1 on (I use it as a VB3 controller), power comes on, but all LEDs instead of being steady, are blinking and no sound or MIDI data being Tx'ed.
I remember reading that someone had fixed issues on the CX3 by opening it and re-seating the connectors.

Before I open it up, I was wondering if someone could confirm that, indeed, the problem with blinking LEDs and no sound or MIDI is possibly related to a loose connector. Or maybe it is a sign of something more serious that is going on.
