Subject:Re: Crumar Mojo keybed

Dear friends,

"I know if I paid that much for a new instrument I'd want the keyboard working correctly right off the bat. No excuses"

I agree! An instrument must come from the manufacturer in perfect condition to play.
A good sound in conjuction with a good keyboard will improve our performance, right?!
When I'm sitting behind my Petrof Grand Piano (30.000) and I feel a vibration, a pedal noise or everything else that disturb me, I try to find where is and what are the problem to solve it. I hate that kind of things!

"Manuel,
I had the same problem as Jack, the two screws on the metal plate between the keyboards came loose and my keys were a bit noisy but once I tightened them up the problem was gone completely. I love the feel of my mojo keyboard.

Ok, but the noise you refer is a metalic noise of springs? In my Mojo this happens only in a few keys, strange!!!
However the noise produced by fast glissandos are normal. Sure, some keubeds produce more and other less noises.

"As for the stiff swell pedal I think the tension is adjustable.. My mojo is still packed up from my last gig but I believe that the screw under the pedal can be adjusted to increase or decrease the tension.
Craig"

Yes Craig, Andrea told me there's a screw for do this. You can find it in the front of the pedal in the lower part before the base... if you look at Keyboard magazine video there is the explanation...

"I have read about the "spring" sound in Fatar keyboards. It is the spring that is moving a litte against the plastic.
Andrea may be right that the spring may settle down after a while.
Google Fatar spring noice and you should find an article about it
Regards Frederick Somerville"

I saw a photo of the Fatar waterfall keyboard (TP / 8O, I think!) and we can see that springs and screws. Probably they are adjustable, but, in my opinion everything should be in the right place, and this instrument is not a toy! It cost a lot of money!

Thanks,
manuel
