I'm sure it would be fine... several years ago I did some organ parts in a very nice studio using a Voce Micro B through a Leslie/ CBS preamp and Leslie 147. Sounded just like a Hammond on the demo, and I've been playing B3's for years. Just my two cents.

Subject: [CWSG] Nord C2D/C2v2.00 good enough for recording a demo?
Hi All,
This is really directed at people who have used the Nord C2D/C2 v2.00 but I expect others will have very valid opinions also:
I was wondering about doing a short jazz organ trio demo recording (4 songs) on the C2 v2.00 rather than using a real Hammond, just because
- It will be faster to set up
- I don't need to acoustically isolate the drums (the guitar will go direct)
- I can record the MIDI, the dry out and the simulated rotor out for use on mix down e.g. I could either drive the organ with the MIDI and mix it down through a 147 for example, or the MIDI just controlling the Leslie speed and driving the Leslie with the dry out, or use the simulated Leslie on mix down, or I guess a mixture of real and sim Leslie?
Any thoughts? Is it good/realistic enough? Is the MIDI playback fast enough esp. since there will be a lot of swell pedal data all down the same MIDI cable? Would you use the sim or the 147? Would anyone notice the difference?
Thanks in advance for your advice!
James
