Subject:Re: [CWSG]now: Clonewheel as Vent Rival?

I have the PC3, which I bought for less than $1400 new last year. The PC3 organs are very nice--so much so that I sold my old Electro 2 rack because the PC3's organs outdid it. The strings and orchestral sounds are excellent, the horns are quite decent, the acoustic pianos and EPs are fine but not spectacular, but its selection of Mellotron-like sounds is the best I've ever heard in a ROMPLER based keyboard. The only weaknesses are the guitars and basses, which are so-so.

However, I recently bought a Hammond XK3C (just because I really wanted even better organ sounds), and am now using the PC3 as an excellent lower manual to feed into the XK3c when I want that kind of experience, but the nice thing is I still have the PC3 if I need the other sounds.

BTW, I've found that both of these sound much better through a Ventilator than they do using their own Leslie emulations.
