Interesting new control surface.
With the slightest movement of the second finger on her left hand,
Imogen Heap can conjure the sound of an entire orchestral brass section. A twitch of her left thumb can solicit a complicated drum rhythm, while a flick of her middle finger will summon a guitar riff. With a twist of her other wrist, she can then cross-fade
the sounds, throw them across the room, or add a ''rock'' beat to the
music. Not to mention singing into her mouthpiece intermittently. Without any other equipment on stage, except her laptop,
the Grammy-award winning composer from London is a walking symphony of
noise and rhythms because of the sensor-equipped gloves she dons.
