Your almost there. I just finished switched over to a Toshiba Satellite with dual core processor, but for the last two years, I have been running VB3 on an HP Pavillion with Pentium II.
The Toshiba isn't brand new, it is two years old itself, and I think I spent something under 400.00 back then. My only live problems had nothing to do with my Casio Privia 130PX keyboard or the laptop, it was a ground interference from a mini jack cable which I easily replaced.
