Subject:VB3 and PC3

Been playing the Kurzweil PC3 for a couple of years, but new to the world of VST. I've downloaded Gsi VB3 and created the necessary setups on my PC3. Now apparently I need to install ASIO4ALL due to latency problems with the audio software.

My question: how cheaply can I operationalize VB3 for live gigging? Perhaps pick up a 2nd hand older laptop and install vb3, vsthost, and ASIO4ALL on it? The VSHost manual recommends at least a Pentium II processor, and 256mb or RAM- which are pretty ancient standards.

I'm a weekend rocker and don't have a lot of cash to throw around! Suggestions welcome!
