Subject:Re: New Nord C2 OS!
Hi Barry.
Glad you liked the OS.
I actually prefer the distant miked version ot the simulator. But that is
the good thing about having more that one model
I sound very close to how my Leslie 145 sound in a room.
When you close mike a Leslie you get very different sound as to what you
hear with a leslie in a room without any mikes.
The modulation is overall gentler. What you do not get with the simulator
of course is the massive amount of reflections coming from everywhere at
you and all of them with slightly different frequencey content - depending
on what they bounced off of.
I have a c2d as well so I have checked closely that there is no sonic
difference. Add an ocean beach drawbar unit and you have yourself a very
useful instrument
