The thing is, the RMI may well have had a sound of its own, but it just wasn't a particularly EXCITING sound. The same can't be said of the Rhodes and Wurlitzer, whose sounds, while not remotely like an acoustic piano, have a "funkiness" to them which the RMI and other electronic pianos completely lack.
