You dont use a battery in CV mode, you use a normal trs cable. There are two
methodes of using this pedal, as a normal CV ("Swell", "Expression" ,
"control") Pedal. This is what you want with the Nord Electro 3. The Electro
2 was a special case cince it only supported the Roland way of connecting
the cable. The Behringer pedal is using the Yamaha way of connecting
therefore i had to make acable that krossed the tip and ring to make it
usable. What you do on the E3 instead is switching it to Yamaha mode in the
system menu. On the E2 and E3 this way of connecting is only giving you
accsess to organ swell but I will reccomend this since it will shape the
tone and the distortion in the same way as the swell pedal on the Hammond
does.
The other way to connect is directly betweent the audio output and the amp
or mixer. Then you need a battery or a DC adapter. Connected this way it
will function like a normal volume pedal to all instruments in the E3.

Nils
So you are using it with a Nord Electro 2 ? I just got a Behr FCV100 ..in
good shape ..looks used a bit ...but not really a nick or scratch to tell me
it has been used ...I am trying to use it with a Nord Electro 3 ....I put a
new Battery in the FCV100 but it is not working ...
On the NE3 there is a SYSTEM menu ..with a selection for Control pedal Type
.. the only selections are
Fatar, Roland, Yamaha, and Ernie Ball ...obviously the FCV100 is not one of
those ????
I have hooked it up with 1/4 standard and stereo cable from
FCV100 input 1/2 to NE3 .....NO WORKEE using CVmode or Norm mode
FCV100 output 1/2 to NE3 ... No workee using CV mode or Norm mode .
Am i connecting to NE3 correctly ....
any suggestions will be tried ... and I live on the first floor so throwing
it out the window will not smash it enuff to
satisfy my bewilderment at this time ...it is prob something simple ... and
i am just not simple enuff to figure it out
or maybe it is a bad pedal
oh and what is an " X CABLE " ????
thanks
Mike

It is good, solid and has a long throw and works better many more expensive
pedals. I only used the CV part of it though. I used it with a selfmade
x-cable with the Electro 2 and I used it with a straight cable with my C2
until I sold the Roland PK5 bass pedal and bought the Pedalkeys 27 witch
comes with its own swell pedal.
