Some of us started earlier than that, and not all of us were rockers, at least, not all of the time.
I started around 1962 and have played everything from gospel to rock from a tiny bit of jazz to PLENTY of country.
Instruments include ,from a real pipe organ(at church), to a Vox Connie, bass, pedal steel, Dobro, drums, trumpet, lead and harmony vocals and harmonica.
At this time my keyboard stack is a Korg Triton Le on top and a Roland VK-8 on the bottom. My only full time band, today, is an 8 piece oldies show band based out of Huntsville Alabama, and I am a bass player only.

I often get the feeling that a number of this group's members are "older"... that is, guys (and girls) who played out mostly during the 70's and 80's. People sort of caught "in between" appreciation for the old-school equipment and the advantages of software recording and instruments. Seems like only yesterday that a sweet sounding synth pad really did it doesn't it? Not to mention all those years that no one even wanted to hear a Hammond sound.
Anyway, I guess my point in all this is... what are people's plans? More recoring for posterity? Publishing on the internet market? Playing out? Writing? Just curious about how the rockers of the 70's and 80's plan to spend the time they have now... myself included.
