Subject:Numa Organ - my experience
So I have had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with the Numa Organ (with Joey DeFrancesco's name on it) the last couple of weeks. I can confirm it is exactly the same sound engine as the KeyB Duo and has the same incredible Three Dimensional Leslie Sim. I was concerned the drawbars would feel wrong, but actually they are very good indeed and despite being sliders look & feel very much like vintage drawbars (although only one set). Like the XK1 you can switch between Upper and Lower though.
The build quality is excellent, key frame is very good and feels like it could be the same as the KeyB with a very fast and positive action. The leslie control is a little out of the way (top left) but you can plug in a footswitch.
It has 11 pin socket, but I don't think it needs it because of the superb on board sim. Vibrato and chorus are just right. In fact I could not find anything I disliked apart from only having one set of drawbars.
If you have the opportunity to try one..do so. In my mind, if anyone wants a single manual Hammond Clone this is the one to go for. It even has "Powered By KeyB" on the top panel.
And the weight...its only 10 kilos and because its quite narrow its very, very easy to move around.
