If I start running from a laptop, or even with your headphone approach, aren't dealing with a Left & Right channel? So what I'm struggling with is where do I go with a stereo output: Left/Right? Do I go from the laptop into a mixer to get it back into Mono?

You mentioned your organ into channel A and Pianos through B. But how did you get from a headphone split into L/R into your single Channel A or B. Just trying to imagine it and not "getting" it.

I'm also interested in everyone else's approach to Stereo vs Mono.
