Right. It's strictly a tone based issue. Frankly, as long as the audience can hear me that's fine. I don't care whether they hear me in mono vs. stereo. But, the level of my playing is in direct relationship to "hearing" what I need to "hear". I just can't duplicate in mono what I can hear in stereo, especially when using headphones. Ultimately, I end up mental, trying to get the patch "dialed" in, and the over all playing suffers, where I'm not "in" the music anymore.

If I'm not mistaken he proli means the spatial, "aural" effect of a
sound in stereo vs. the dry uninspiring sound of mono. It must help him
to play not that it reaches the audience in the same way if at all.

Need more info. Playing what? Using a mono send from the keyboard or
combining left and right down the line?
