Obviously it sends the whole bunch but right now all I see below is my last message. Sorry folks but I don't know how to fix this.

When I hit "Reply All" (most convenient way to respond, rather than having to dig into the Yahhoo group) in my Yahoo email all it shows me is the last post on the subject, not a whole bunch of them. I would presume this is OK as it is helpful in composing your message and for other members to see the response in context.
I'll send this response out like that to see if that is all that happens. If the whole previous list of threads appears there does not seem to be any way to delete it-at least on my computer!

Hi All,

Rafael is right. It's tempting to just hit Reply and add a sentence or
two, but the end result is long messages with mostly duplicate info.
Most email programs handle threads well these days, so there isn't much
reason to repeat earlier posts in new mail. This is especially
frustrating to digest subscribers. As Rafael suggests, please trim your
emails to just the previous point(s) you want to discuss. I'd like to
suggest using the '' element to shorten long paragraphs that have
relevant info, but also other items that aren't necessary to your
point. This method used to be common in online forums, but has somehow
fallen out of favor. Here's an example:

________
> I really like the QSC K12 more than the Q10, at least for the larger
gigs we play.
>
> My sound man was very impressed by the K12s.

I agree that the K12 has more presence on a large stage.
________

Some might argue that this is taking statements out of context, but
since the user has openly stated that he/she has shortened the original
email, which is still available in the thread, readers are welcome to go
back and look at the whole original point, if they wish.

________
On another, related, vein: If you take a thread down a different road,
please add the term 'Was:' in the subject line before sending. A
perfect example is the thread called 'Gregg Rolie in All-Starr Band'
which has been going on for the past few days: it *started* as a
discussion of Mr. Rolie, then veered off into discussions of older
studio monitors, then whether the Neo Instruments Ventilator technology
is/isn't/should be available to Hammond-Suzuki and others. All valid
discussion topics -- although the studio monitors probably should be
labeled 'OT' -- but they have nothing to do with Ringo Starr's band. A
better subject line would be:

Re: Ventilator technology (Was: Gregg Rolie in All-Starr Band)

This would allow readers to choose not to read emails on these other
topics, if they don't care to.

Regards,

-BW
