Sorry, but this US reader will have to disagree. While much of the
console Hammond interface is well thought out and ergonomic, that
statement cannot be applied to *every* aspect. The best place for the
percussion switches is on the far right, at the top? Not really: it
was the only space left on the increasingly crowded console of the B-2/C-2.

It may be classic, but it's not perfect. In any 'perfect' interface,
functions should be either intuitive and easy to use, or practice should
only be required to improve the function of the element. Yes, one can
practice palm glisses so as to not accidentally hit the preset keys, but
that doesn't improve their function; it turns a weak element of the
design into 'my problem' as a player.
