Gary,

Any chance you have a C33 to part with?

I have owned and repaired them for years. I just sold my C24, MR71, and MC240 last week. I had owned them since the early 70’s.
The reissue MC275 was $10,000, originally they sold for around $500. They were very well built equipment but went through some
changes after they went to Clarion and the line lost it’s “fame” somewhere along the way. I like the vintage stuff and it’s all pretty decent.
I used to take my stuff the “free cliques” and they would bring your gear up to spec for free…not anymore! I have owned various pieces over the
years but the units I sold last week were my first pieces and I hate to see them go…but I hadn’t fired them up in 20 years and I had a friend who
had wanted them for years! Time to clean out the closets! ☺ I rebuilt the set with parts supplied by my friend who owns Quicksilver Audio.
We did a rebuild right down to a fresh matched set of tubes. It ran like new!

Cheers,

Gary

Those Macs weren’t priced that badly. A 602 is around $8,000 or how about the 2000 watt monoblock at around $20,000. Have you ever owned a McIntosh amp? I own one,,,,nothing like them!

They were good but NEVER worth $5000 a pair! Just like the McIntosh reissue of the MC 275 was never worth $10,000.

Actually the company is back in business and also sells replacement parts through Partsexpress.

They made an anniversary reissue of these speakers in 2009 at.....$5000 a pair!
