BGMi used to have a "lower keyboard controller" til the last site update (a few months ago), it was basically a fatar keyboard like the one that most clones use that transmitted on midi channel 2. coupled with something like a couple of korg nanokontrols (version 1, version 2 has only 8 sliders) it would probably make a great "cheap" controller for vb3, given it's still available.

Moreover, I think numa used to do an engineless controller as well…And there is of course the "empty" hamichord, but at that price I would go Mojo…Ehr, I went Mojo, actually!
