Those Macs weren’t priced that badly. A 602 is around $8,000 or how about the 2000 watt monoblock at around $20,000. Have you ever owned a McIntosh amp? I own one,,,,nothing like them!

They were good but NEVER worth $5000 a pair! Just like the McIntosh reissue of the MC 275 was never worth $10,000.

They made an anniversary reissue of these speakers in 2009 at.....$5000 a pair!
