That was the same period of time except it was Lincoln Nebraska for me.
I was in college in Omaha, drove down to see them. Its a little foggy
who the other bands on the bill were but it was either Robin Trower or
Zappa or maybe even Bad Co as I saw them all at the same place during
those years. Either way a great line up.
That's when Edgar pulls out his remote Arp controller with some hose
for a cable, slung around his neck for Frankie..

Same here. It was (I think) '72, I was up at school, and a Columbia
Records tour stopped by. The headliner was Blue Oyster Cult. They were
preceded by Edgar. The opener was a band entirely unknown to me, oddly
named "the Mahavishnu Orchestra". They were somewhere between the first
and second albums. It changed my approach and understanding of music
(in general) and live performance (in particular) forever. I didn't
know it was OK - or even possible - to play like that!
