Subject:Re: PC3 vs Kurz KB3

As a PC3 owner, I'd say that its KB3 programs are the best-sounding B3 emulations I've ever heard on a general workstation/synth. So good that I sold my old Nord Electro 2 rack because it didn't measure. Having the slider bars work as drawbars is killer, and it has about 20-30 different tweakable presets covering everything gospel to Lord-type rock.

The Leslie emulations are very good, particularly with the latest OS update, but they don't come near the quality of a Ventilator, which I use with mine. And, as you said, many of the other sounds, particularly the strings, are excellent. So, if you needed a general board that does most everything well, but don't mind if the internal Hammonds are a step below VB3 or the best dedicated clonewheels, the PC3 is an excellent all-around choice.
