Subject:Re: using Korg NanoKontrol with Cantabile performer
Hi Lee
Don't have any experience with a NanoKontrol but this seems to be a common problem and a brief review of issues for the NanoKontrol on other boards highlights the following:
1. Korg Drivers may not be class compliant in Win 7 - uninstall the Korg driver and see if it works without these installed.
2. The Korg Kontrol Editor has to match the NanoKontrol 1 or 2, it seems that the Korg Kontrol Editor for the original NanoKontrol will nnot recognise the NanoKontrol 2 and vice versa.
Most with issues with the NanoKontrol not being recognised in other DAW's and Korg Kontrol Editor contacted Korg support who were able to solve the issue.
NanoKontrol.
Cantabile and other DAW's sit on "top" of Windows as does the Korg Kontrol Editor so the USB input is not being correctly recognised by Windows.
Cheers
Mark
>>I'm a bit lost here being fairly new to midi and vsti's. I purchased a Korg Nanokontrol as a midi controller for my Privia Px-330, and have successfully installed the required software (Korg Kontrol Editor and Korg USB-Midi driver). The NanoKontroller is recognized as a "Sound, video and game controller" under Devices in my Windows 7 laptop.
Shouldn't Cantabile recognize this device in the Setup/Midi Devices/Midi Ports settings? Also, when I open the Korg Kontrol Editor, it indicates that my NanoKontroller is not connected.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
