Subject:Re: Mojo vs. C2D
Yes I think what Phil was listening to must have been the "unpacking" video for both the C2D and the Mojo.. I just went back and looked at both, and it's basically the same set up for both, but I don't think these videos were intended for listening comparisons.. just an overview of features.
There are definately significant differences between these two organs.. starting with price..!!!
The C2D, with tax, is probably about $1500 more than the Mojo delivered to your door, and that doesn't include shipping. Accordingly, the C2 delivers much more features, in certain respects, including 4 sets of drawbars (rather than 2 on the mojo), and alternate sounds like Vox/Farfis/pipe organs, and these sounds are part of the intial design, rather than an afterthought as they are on the Mojo. So, the user interface, is certainly much more sophisticated on the C2D. However these sounds may serve no purpose to some (like myself), and others may enjoy the sounds, and not care about the sophistication of the user interface.
Bottom line however is that for a lot less than the cost of a C2D you can get a Mojo and for that you have pretty much an equal (or perhaps better) sounding organ, and you also get a bunch of extra useable sounds (C2D has pipe organ, whereas the Mojo has Electric Pianos, reed and tine).
Can't wait for the final results of the shoot out in August.. ALTHOUGH given the quality of all the current crop of clones, and the very different features that they all have, I highly doubt that there will be a clear winner.

I am definately loving my Mojo.. looking forward to my first two gigs with it this weekend..!!
