Yeah, a volume pedal you add after the organ changes the volume of the
organ from soft to loud. A Hammond expression pedal does something
different - the overall effect is the same (goes from soft to loud), but
different frequencies are changed at different rates - other people here
can explain the physics of it, but it is a very different effect - I
think you'll like the expression pedal a lot better - I used a Roland
pedal that plugged into the organ and it was great.
