Subject:Re: Got my Mojo working...Presets
Rock,
I'm not sure if anyone answered your original question regarding how easy it was to select the combo organs and other sounds..
It's actually quite easy, just press shift and one of the 4 percussion buttons, each of which control 1 of 4 sound combinations.. 1 being the default and 2-3-4 being combinations of tonewheel/V/F combo organs on the top manual, and reed/tine piano (with synth bass on the pedals).
So it's very easy to do.. 3 button presses (shift, a combo button, then shift to get out of edit mode).. then the upper drawbars are immediately changed to control the V/F organs and you have reverb EQ and vibrato controls that all work on the combo organ sounds. It might have been nice to have some dedicated buttons to control these other sounds, but it is afterall just a nice add-on gift from Guido, and the sounds are pretty good and they've been pretty creative with the controls so it's really pretty easy to use.
Unfortunately, I don't think these combinations can be saved.. only drawbar registrations at this point.
Regards,
Craig MacDonald

Thanks, does anyone have an answer for my second question?
I asked:"If the presets are just for DB settings, is there and way to store and recall settings including Tonewheel modeling, V/C, prec, OD, etc."
I checked the specs and the Farfisa and Vox models are not even mentioned. Not that I'm a big fan, but they are of course included in the VB3 software. It seems they are not available on the Mojo, is this true?
Also, is there any way at all to access the files menu seen on the VB3 software?
I realize I may be asking for features beyond the scope of what a vintage Hammond B3 is capable of, so if the Mojo is designed to copy a B3 faithfully and no more, I guess I get it. I guess ya gotta draw the line somewhere, you can't be all things to all people etc. But we can dream, can't we? :)
Hey it's not like I've got the scratch to run out and buy one today anyway, but sooner or later, these will show up on CL and maybe I'll pull the trigger. Until then, it's me, the VB3 and my little Axiom61.
Cheers,
Rock
