Subject:RE: IEMs

Here's a tip that may help some of the onstage communication between leader and band.

Friend of mine runs a big time touring sound company. They do sound for Buffet, Paisley, Swift, CSN, etc, etc.

When they first introduced IEMs to Buffet and his band, they ran into a problem; how could Jimmy turn around and call tunes to the band when nobody could hear him without removing one of their earphones?

The solution they came up with was to put a wireless lavalier mic on Jimmy's shirt routed only to the band's IEMs. Now Jimmy can turn around and talk in a low level. Everybody in the band can hear him. Everybody's happy.
