Subject:Old/New "and greatly improved" Speakers
I'd like to share with you guys a very pleasant discovery that I've made. I recently had an old pair of Peavey PR12's upgraded by Speakeasy to what I believe they call their Gigrig Speakers.
They sound amazingly good, hell they sound great! I'm using them with a Kurzweil PC3, a Triton Extreme and a Hammond XM-2 along with a Ventilator. The pianos sound better then ever, I'm hearing subtle nuances in the organ/vent that I've never heard before. Orchestra, pads, guitar and synth patches sound really good.
I've used lots of systems before, Roland, Motion Sound, JBL Fender etc. I'm presently using a Traynor K4, I think its going to be the rehearsal amp now, I'll be gigging with these speakers.
They're lite, they're loud and I don't seem to have to EQ em to get the sound I want.
I'm not affiliated with Speakeasy, I'm just really pleased.
Cheers, Tim
